At the “Junge IKT” congress earlier this month, the German Silicon Valley Accelerator (GSVA) enjoyed a strong presence. Besides having a booth on site and discussing with interested founders about the Silicon Valley program, Dirk Kanngiesser, CEO of GSVA and Christian Gehl, Co-Founder of Trifense, a GSVA program participant, shared experiences and best practices in the Internationalization Workshop in Berlin.
The “Kongress Junge IKT” is becoming one of the most important meeting points in Germany for (young) entrepreneurs, experts and investors from the information and communication technology sector. The event is initiated by two of GSVA supporters and partners, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and EXIST, as well as the High-Tech Gründer Fonds, ”Gründerwettbewerb – IKT Innovativ”, and several business plan competitions.
For EXIST, Dirk also gave an interview, in which he shares his perspective on the US market, available support in entering it as well as Venture Capital and general advise for startups interested in expanding internationally. Read the full interview here (in German).
